Shenzhen, in southeastern China, is a modern metropolis that links Hong Kong to China’s mainland. It's known for its shopping destinations, including Luohu Commercial City, a massive mall with a vast array of wares, from tailors’ custom clothing to faux designer bags. The city also features contemporary buildings, such as the 600m-tall skyscraper Ping An International Finance Centre, and a number of amusement parks.

As a Chinese, Shenzhen is a magic city, because it only takes 30 years from a fishing village to a megalopolis, with a population of over 10 million and lots of sky-penetrating edifices.

Shenzhen belongs to Guangdong Province — Guangdong is the largest apparel base in China, where a great many apparel manufacturer choose to develop in. Shenzhen enjoys a leading position in the women apparel field, and becomes the largest base of brand apparel design and manufacturing. In 2016, the output of Shenzhen apparel industry reached 210 billion RMB, the apparel industry companies was over 3500, the independent brands was more than 1200, and the coverage rate of department store was up to 60%.

[Designer to Know] Bi Yi and Her Brand QIBUL

Name, City, Brand? Bi Yi(毕翼), Beijing, QIBUL (柒布了) . Who are you? I’m a poet, I’m an artist and I’m a  designer. I graduated from The School of Arts Peking University. I like cheongsam, because my mother is a cheongsam tailor. When I was young, my mother taught me how to sew, to embroider, to design, that’s my childhood hobby, and I like it. Shenzhen Original Design Fashion Week  is co-organized by Xingchuang Fashion Communication Company, Shenzhen Pengcheng Exhibition Planning Company and EEFF.NET.
