Wang Damo (王大墨), male, Shenzhen.

Who are you? 

In 2000, I graduated from Beijing Institute Of Fashion Technology, majored in Fashion Design and Technology. Many years of design experience in China famous fashion brand. In 2015, I thought it’s time for me to set up my own brand to bring out my own personality without other limitation, so I plan to create a new brand DAMO WANG.


Can you describe your brand?

This is a vintage and modern brand, sounds like a bit of contradiction. But I can balance the two elements through the fabrics and color. I like to study the influence generated by the variation of lines and space, and use this kind of skills to create more feminine romance to the clothes.


Do you put any characteristics to your products?

Vintage -- try to connect the traditional techniques with the modern art, choose the correct fabrics to fit the clothes characteristics.
Independent -- every piece of design work should has its own life, and became fashionable and classic.
Confident -- high quality, without redundant ornament, shows woman’s curves, add woman’s confidence from head-to-toe.
Experiment -- different occasion try different styles. You can mix and match our design pieces to suit different life occasions.

[Designer to Know] Bi Yi and Her Brand QIBUL

Name, City, Brand? Bi Yi(毕翼), Beijing, QIBUL (柒布了) . Who are you? I’m a poet, I’m an artist and I’m a  designer. I graduated from The School of Arts Peking University. I like cheongsam, because my mother is a cheongsam tailor. When I was young, my mother taught me how to sew, to embroider, to design, that’s my childhood hobby, and I like it. When I grow to be 18 years old, I decided to learn painting, and that study experience has a great influence to my designers career. Later on, I work for the film companies, and design costume for the actors, and now I set up my own brand QIBUL.
