What’s the key element you would consider when designing kids clothes?

Comfortable. It’s very important for a kid to wear a comfortable and cozy clothes.


Compared with adults clothes, how did you choose the suitable fabrics for kids clothes, is there any difference?

We have been choosing the healthy, safety and eco-friendly fabrics for the kids clothes. And from the fabrics, tailoring, to the accessories choosing, we have a complete system to check and monitor it. Our product price is a little bit higher than other brands, for it’s high-quality fabrics and completed manufacturing techniques. 


Why do you opt to design kids clothes? Except designing, what else do you like to do?

Designing kids clothes is not just a job to me, but also my lifestyle and a sense of identity. Except designing, I like traveling with a kid’s curiousness.

[Designer to Know] Bi Yi and Her Brand QIBUL

Name, City, Brand? Bi Yi(毕翼), Beijing, QIBUL (柒布了) . Who are you? I’m a poet, I’m an artist and I’m a  designer. I graduated from The School of Arts Peking University. I like cheongsam, because my mother is a cheongsam tailor. When I was young, my mother taught me how to sew, to embroider, to design, that’s my childhood hobby, and I like it. When I grow to be 18 years old, I decided to learn painting, and that study experience has a great influence to my designers career. Later on, I work for the film companies, and design costume for the actors, and now I set up my own brand QIBUL.
